hi,
i have a v6 and took it for mot today.it passed, but i was told it only got through because it was registered as a campervan,as it was just outside permitted levels.on the printout it says:

result diagnosis limits
idle speed = pass
smoke level = pass
co level 0.1% = pass 3.50
hc level 6ppm = pass 1200

does that make sense?
thanks
jamie

Those limits are for vehicles registered between 1st August 75 - 31st July 92 for the HC reading & 1st August 75 - 31st July 86 for the CO reading , it doesnt matter whether it is a camper van or a Rolls Royce its still a vehicle subject to the MOT test . A good site for those looking for info on the test can be found at http://www.haynes.co.uk/webapp/wcs/stor ... ecks21to25
