Hidden in the postings is this v good point from Dave. This is the kind of area where these schemes can go wrong, but I guess there is a strong core of BF meeting enthusiasts who will either be there or live close enough to another who will be that handovers, storage etc. might not be too tricky? (note how I deftly avoid the 'E' word - once is quite enough for me 8) )

hi y,all,
it sounds a good idea, we have only just caught up as we have been away in the med cruising. however, if i remember rightly, jan and i were due a refund on our deposit for gibralter farm so, if that money is still floating then please chuck it in the kitty for the marquee.

cheers

alex and jan.

Problem is... if we buy one, who will be available for storage, transport and erection?.

If you look at one of my earlier posts its says that I WILL STORE AND TRANSPORT THE MARQUEE.with santas helpers for erecting the thing.and im sure will be able to organise a swapover if i cannot get to a meet.

What we do need is a volunteer for next year who will be willing to store and transport the other marquee.

Happy to donate but not a chance of me getting round to sticking anything in the post. Putting the cheque in the post for Buxton took me over a week. Post boxes are not my forte. Cash is yours when we meet.

Well you lot are brill only been posted for a day and all those who said they will donate, have donated enough for me to buy the marquee and two lights from costco (by the way the marquee was only £135 not £160).

Now then the rest of you, and you know who you are, we now need at least another 16 bongoers to dig deep and send a donation of at least £10 (a tenner) so we can buy HARRYS MARQUEE. also some lights and hook up leccy stuff, if there is enough donations

I am sure you all agree this will benefit us all, and that we will have more meets next year than we have had this year.(going to be hard to top the last few meets ,but we will have a bloody good effort to enjoy ourselves more)

Must admit when i first posted this thread , i was not sure if anyone thought the same as me and was worried in case you all thought i was mad (i know some of you still do )

Thankyou for your generosity and trusting me to sort this out.

Cheers Mike the arctic flex will deffo be useful ,let me know what it will cost for the male/female hookups and if you can a couple of double 3 pin adapters to plug the lights into, one in each marquee,it was a bit hit and miss at silverdale but it worked.
