Elliot says a HUGE THANK YOU for all the lovely cards and pressies you gave him and for making his 9th birthday so special. We had a great weekend and the weather was just superb on friday and saturday. I'm not sure what the flies were that have bitten me but I've got some horrendous blisters from the bites  I wont scare you with the photo I have just taken of one

Ady - I so wish I'd seen the pooping dog

Big thanks to everyone who helped put the marquee up and take it down - what a laugh - i'm looking forward to seeing the pics

See y'all again soon.

Di, Iain, Cameron, Elliot, Emily and Hannah

brilliant weekend -thanks harry for organising it and everyone for making it special -particular thanks to age concern for their campaigning to allow Alan weekend release, and to Louise for the sunday afternoon envigorating swim, i would also like to thank Tomo for the lovely bread i had for tea last night, and Ady for his excellent knowledge of the scouse seagull -but mate - next time we leave I will show you the actual shortcut to kirby lonsdale.

Will calomine lotion work on the bites. Or have a shallow salt bath. Another is to put pure perfume on the bites. All of these methods dry up the bites quickly. Hope your ok

this is also very important to me jo as chell sometimes goes to meets alone or with the kids,a few of us were chatting about this over the weekend (girls and boys).
i think its a real credit to all involved that solos of whatever sex feel able to attend, and be included in the fun, and more important feel safe.

tried perfume, tried vinegar, only thing that seems to work is keeping bite areas cool -not easy in an overheated office -apparently we could also try toothpaste, deodorant sticks, raw onions, lightly boiled cabbage, oatmeal or basil leaves -or really go for it and "hold a lighter as close as possible it really does stop the itching" and if you have some handy "let fire ants run over them" will try the toothpaste option when i get home and let you know.
