Deary me billy, not sure if you bought a bongo or a banger #-o  I'm sure you'll sort it tho  i feel quite lucky now, just surface rust and its getting sorted by 25th april, and the rad support needs work but everything else seems ok (i think)
Hope all goes well dude, we're rooting for ya. And remember there's great times to be had in a bongo, or a bottle o whiskey  but not together, you'll just get in trouble

Deffo a banger 😂👍😂 it's all good though. Keeps me busy lol and with what we used to spend on holidays each year, I'm viewing it as a consumable. 👍👍

I'll just plate mine, it will be okay. I currently only have one area about 6 inch long.

You could put all your pics in a google album and just paste a link in here. This forum is Stone Age when it comes to posting pics! :-(

Set up a google account, upload your pics to it, then catalogue them in albums. There's a limit to high res storage before you start paying but that'll be a way off hopefully.

Gives a whole new twist to the expression 'driving a rusty old heap'. Put that pic on ebay with the words 'Bongo' and 'restoration project' in the description and it could fetch a good price eh Ben?

Good plan. If you like driving something that is supremely useful, different, comfy, everyday practical, and fun then a Bongo is a hard act to follow. Oh and i've heard some say you can camp in them as well    8)

Lovely work. When the metal is made up to that standard it almost hurts to weld it. Can you tell me what welding gear was used (MIG, TIG or gas)?
