Hi Stuc.
I find the only way is to buy their colour chips...HOK website isn't (or wasn't) the best...the chips are pricey, but it's quality kit, and the paint's very often better priced than some of the UK paint factors....but remember when pricing, they supply in US quarts, which is about 0.9 of a litre. I bought most of their chips, and I used to deal with an old guy in Dorset who knew almost all the directors of the old-school paint suppliers in the EU, personally, and we'd chat for hours on paint....The son still supplies HOK paint, and I'll dig out the guy's 'phone number if you like.....The old fella died a few years back, and he was the real deal, and he always remembered me...real old-school and was well versed in paint technology and the actual physics of paint spraying / mixing / handling....a real source of learning!
Cheers
Helen

Sorry, only joking, I did.
Just thought it was funny as that's what most other forums are like.
I love Ultimate green but it's a 3 stage pearl and it is such a big job if I am not happy with the results.
I also thought orange but any colour change is a major job.
I can do it myself on the other hand which won't cost me anything apart from time.

I have seen one done in a gunmetal colour and it did look good I must admit. It pops up on the bongo owners facebook page occasionally, it was done and sold by my mate. It had side exit exhaust fitted. Nice van! BMW colour I think it was.

Hi Stuc
I'll look the guy's number up late today / early tomorrow....we are getting a house agent round today, and doing some shopping...PLUS trying to locate a part for the Jeep clutch...even hard to find in America!
You know, the more I look at your white Bongo, the more I think trick paint on the lower half, but still white!
That paint jig for the spoiler is just what I need....I'll have to pop down to the steel factor and see what they have....the lady who works there is very cool about supplying small amounts!
Cheers

There's only one colour given a free choice - yellow.

But not a deep yellow like an AA van, something like SEAT's ovni yellow :D

ive just had my rx 8,s refurbed in smoked chrome

they look like the gun metal grey

I think a bongo in that colour would be very nice

I love decals - my arches are being done next week and then off for some decorating

a few decals to match the wheels

I must say - I saw one bongo on ebay for sale once

it had a bull decal on the side

the bull was the height of the bongo - ive tried everywhere to try and find it since - no luck

it was a tin top with all the skirts etc

one of the best looking ive seen

I have to admit Muz I do like yellow, but the wifes not keen, and as she drives it occasionally I'd best not upset her eh? you know how it is  . She doesn't drink so when I've had a drink she drives.

I do like white but it just needs something, I don't know what. Lots of people who see it say it looks really good, but I think its because I am a painter I should do something, Maybe just a 3 stage pearl over the top of the white from the windows down?
That spoiler stand is supplied by loads of people here, I think you can get 2 for £100, they come with various attachments, you can fit bonnets, doors etc on them so you can paint inside and out at the same time, turn it upside down whatever you need.
Heres a site you might like, loads of good tools etc.

hi stuc

what pressure you got in your tyres

I have 45 - and sometimes still look as if they need a little more lol

if you park on a side slope - dropped kurb etc -- sometimes they look not far off flat lol
