Hi
ELZE...
You're not wrong....funnily enough, I wanted some creosote the other day but I darned well forgot where I've seen it...and trying to ask where to buy it is a feat of ass...The word is the same in the local lingo....Kreozot...but do they understand it?...not on your nelly....Solder is Spoikam....but they use the word Tinol ...they just twist the language round and about, because the level of literacy is only 42%....and how the hell they understand each other is amazing....I once asked our friend Ivan how the hell I could communicate with GeeGee (that really is his name  ).....I said that we can't understand him....so he replied that nobody else understands him either
Anyway...back to creosote....EVERYONE knows that it's the best thing for treating wood, so why ban it!?????....Great when mixed with dirty engine oil, and it smells absolutely great....The hunt continues......
Cheers
Helen

Old engine oil works a treat on it's own. It's good that you can use it there as no one will probably give a sh*t about the environment but use it here and your taken out and shot!

Gosh; I used to love the smell of creosote before we joined the EU  And GUNK is just not the same any more..

Finally bit the bullet and bought a new driver side loom (price  ) but will wait until next failure to do the job properly. Meanwhile the passenger side will have to go with these. No joint has failed so far [-o<

Hi
That's good to know....EXCEPT HERE     ....I have yet to see proper wooden fence posts.....every blithering thing is made out of concrete.....and fence posts are impossible to find...we've just bought 160 of 'em...they are probably 50 years old, and remnants of Commie concrete days, and there's ample evidence in the shops that the food is re-cycled concrete!....Anyway....if you don't fancy concrete, the only alternative is metal poles!...
Cheers
