Just to update and close this thread off...

I managed to drive the bongo to the garage, I took a fair time and carried 20 litres of water with me. I took the expansion vessel lid off and kept topping up the coolant and stopping. It was just over 1.5 miles. The temp needle didn't actually move until about 300 yards from the garage.

In the end it was the radiator. All is now well as I had a full service done at the same time.

Thanks to all that replied, the next thing now is to find out where that current drain is on my leisure battery :-\

To suss out the battery drain..
Get a cheap multi meter.
Disconnect the LB pos cable.
Connect the multi meter between the battery pos and the battery pos cable.
Put the multi meter onto the amp scale.
If the battery is draining it will read on the meter scale.
Now...just keep switching things off until the scale reads zero.
Failing that ...remove fuses one at a time.
That should point you in the right direction.

DO Not run the engine with the meter connected
