In my 'come in handy one day' pile, I have spare pipe work to the rear aircon unit. These are the fittings:
Small O ring, approx 10mm outside diameter:
Large O ring, approx 18mm outside diameter:

Hello.
I hav`nt posted for a while,my other Laptop locks up when i try to access Bongo Fury and this one is annoyingly slow.
Anyhow....I got a new rear air-con pipe, the smaller one, through Ian@Mission Control, everything seemed fine, correct shape etc but i have just noticed the small connector pipe that goes into the condensor is significantly different, but the new pipe is the same as this image.I have checked all model part number listings in case there is a change in part number but they are all the same.Does anyone know why the pipe i have just taken off is different to the new one?If i can figure out how to post a picture i will.
I`ll speak to Ian to see if any light can be shed on this.....
Cheers......

I don't believe the pipe work has changed, although the spare set I have are from a van which was probably 1995/6 vintage. Photos will be the best option. Info here on how to do it:

If you're still struggling, drop me a pm and I'll give you my email address to send to and I'll post them

Hopefully there will now be an image, the pipe nearest is the one i have removed, the other is the new one.The image shows the difference between the two.Now the pipes off it appears that the other end is also different, the new pipe is smaller at the connection so the other end will not push in.

I see what you mean. I've not seen one like yours before. Looking at the lush projects pages, for 2001 model it is part 61-831:

The 1995 model also has the same number, so not sure what to suggest:

Why are you changing the pipe? Could you not just get a new O-ring for the existing one.

Simon..
I`m changing the pipe as there is a hole in the old one,so the system just empties.
I was expecting this to be a straight forward swap, but no,i have no idea what to do next,as you say,all models have the same part number.Could really do with the air-con fixed,i wonder if micro bore plumbing compression joints would enable me join the pipe with the ends of the old pipe??

Part ref 61-831 is the drawing number (DN),
NOT the Mazda part number. If you look at the index in red on the left hand side of the lush projects diagrams you will see that
the 2001 model is part number S38B61831
the 95-97 model is part number S09A61831A
Which probably explains why it won't fit! So, Bongo??, as you bought it from us at the Bongo Shop, let's make sure you are supplied with the right part. We can do an exchange, but first of all, what is your chassis number? (post it here or email me at
[email protected]).
