What a weekend - ruddy freezing winds and frequent showers on Sunday/today   Only saw one other Bongo there, but never met the occupants. Decided to leave earlier today, after being bombarded by the second hail storm
Best day was Saturday, before the day visitor masses were allowed in, so I had a good look around the trucks. It soon became clear that BDC and Janner Vanner are rank amateurs in the pimping stakes  and DBO has a few hundred more lights to fit
Being a total plonker, I forgot to take my camera #-o so only have a few poor quality ones on my phone  - now got to find the relevant computer lead to download them
Trouble is that I now want to change the Bongo for an extended cab Kenworth - beautiful machine with a full-sized shower unit   The driver even reckoned it would run on cooking oil, but he also said it only did 6-10mpg  :(
Three facts about Bigfoot that may interest people:-
1) They cut the tread off new tyres so that they don't get too much grip - apparently the engine's power will break the driveshafts if the wheels can't slip.
2) The engine develops 1850BHP and runs on ethanol plus an oil to act as lubricant - they were using cherry oil this weekend, so that the exhaust smelled nice
3) If you think your Bongo's fuel consumption is bad, how about 54 YARDS to the gallon

I totally agree with you John, my only wish is that I had the finances those people have. I just like to have mota that gives people a smile. I admit I am a great fan of the Custom scene and only wish I could customise my Bongo to their standards. I'm glad you had a good time

You mean you're not loaded Dave :?  It must cost a ruddy fortune to pimp them and all their spare time to keep them clean - I bet they were really chuffed by the rain and hail   What amazed me is how many of them are actually working trucks, as I thought they were just used for display purposes - you could eat your dinner off some of the engines 8)
