NFT, only teasing about your suspension
 I thought that was obvious as the dampers damp oscillations.

There is no way that sensor in the tank is becoming exposed with all that coolant.
I'm also wonderind about if it could be a bad connection now as there is a 4 sec delay which would make that unlikely. When you go round a corner and it beeps/flashes ...is it just a quick beep/flash and it is the RED led that flashes (the low water/coolant one ?)
we will get to the bottom of this.
I wonder where they have wired the pos feed from?
Your not coming Somerset way are you ??

Just a idea.......there is a spare orange wire out the back of the display unit.....this is optional for a oil alert......if that is flapping about and touching earth that would be the problem...(no delay in that circuit)....the end should be taped up>>

Is the coolant strong enough? I seem to recall an issue with somebody's alarm prematurely going off as the anti-freeze mixture was weak?

Is the actual alarm part flopping about? I heard of a member recently that tracked down repeated false alarms due to the alarm part rattling about all over the place, a ziptie cured it,though it should have been secured when it was fitted really...

Hmmmm!! coolant strength can affect the alarm but not in this way....this is potholes and corners........coolant strength would be when cold and a "chattering noise......If the alarm was flapping about there must have been a loose connection to cause it to play up...the module it'self is pretty bombproof

Hooray!! Problem solved thanks to Haydn and everyone. :D The sender on the tank was slightly loose. Not obvious but a small amount of movement when twisted. Tightening the attatchment screw up cured the problem.

The Bongo has been tested on Hampshire's best potholes, various bends and a rough track and not a beep except for starting up. :D

The temperature readout really shows up how useless the guage is. The range that registers as 11 o'clock is very wide.

Congratulations everyone =D>

haydn callow wrote:Well that's all fine...in fact if that tank is cold you could "suck" a bit out with a syringe.
Next...Is that terminal on the tank tight ?? You should not be able to revolve the terminal on the screw.
