Just had a thought...so dragged myself out of bed to post it.
There are two areas to the playing fields.
The bottom area is a football pitch....please DO NOT drive onto this area.
Go to the top area...drive to the right of the hall when you reach it.
The top field is where we should be....very slight slope...best pitches along the top edge with the best views and most sheltered fr4om the weather....not sure where the hookups are and of course the toilet/washroom/showers are in the village hall.
The bowling club like3 to park their cars near to the bowling green so please avoid this area unless you want grumpy crown green bowlers parking next to you.
Ih you faancy bowling, and have flat shoes then we can sort out some bowls..or bring your own...crown green.
In Grange over Sands on sunday there is 'Prom Art' with loadsa artistists of all types displaying their wares on the prom. Some live music....entry free. On Sunday afternoon there is a brass band concert in Park Road Gardens (opposite my house)...again free...take your own chairs.
cheers
H

There are two sets of 4 four hook ups set on the flood lights to the left of the top playing field as Harry described.
We went up to switch them on last night. The set in the furtherest left hand corner four people can easily form a cross and gain easy access to them, the other set two people may need slightly longer hook up cables, we will cope easily.

i thought you two were going today have you beaten me too the best pitch then
well it will solve the problem of them parking too - they'll just turn round very quietly, smile and wave in a friendly manner and go on their way - cant see a problem theres plenty of flat mud just down the road to throw their balls around on.

We won't be doing the cross bay walk Harry.

Pixe, I have just had a text message from Graham (Bongocowboy) who says that he has been forced to drop out due to developing a large ulcer on one of his legs.
Looks like another hookup is up for grabs.

Hello
Having only owned our Bongo for a matter of hours, and living in Cumbria, we might take her out for a spin.
Exactly where is this meet, as I don't really know the Allithwaite area.
Cheers.
