sediment light and charging light...
both the sediment and charging red warning lights came on at the same time. Checked around the site re sediment and apparently I need to empty the water out of the tank - drivers side near to the gear box dip stick. What am I looking for exactly and what do I need to do. Have found a smallish cylindrical thing that looks like it has a screw cap on the bottom of it. Is this the fella that I am looking for?
Is the charging light in any way connected or was this a pure fluke that they both came on at the same time. Have checked the manual and it states that it may be that my batteries are not charging properly - have had no probs with starting or other electric issues. Any way that I can check what the problem may be.
I am not a mechanic so step by step would be good and I am in France so I cannot just pop it down to the local mechanic as the Bongo has had them scratching their heads a few times already.
Cheers for any help
Jon

I'm sorry to say this is probably a problem with your alternator. See this thread:

I have one in stock in the Bongo Shop and can ship to France if need be.

which made me think fuse can`t remember which one now but it was one of the large 30 amp ones
changed that all the lights went off well high beam came back on but you get my drift and off i went also

have tested alternator...
Thanks for all your help. What are your thoughts guys...
Have checked the battery with a muti meter and these are the readings...
12.51 across the battery
12.18 across the battery with the engine running
11.85 across the battery with engine running and lights, fan, rear screen etc switched on!!!
Safe to say the alternator is goosed?!
If it is the alternator is it an easy job to replace - just a couple of bolts. I am a very handy person but not a mechanic. What are your thoughts, is it easy enough to replace yourself?
Any help or advice would be great
Cheers
