Side sliding door

Post by Tom Cruise » Thu Jun 21, 2007 7:35 am

I read not very long ago about someones sliding door not opening, well afer 4 years mine did the same last night.

So looked up the threads associated to it ( wonderful site for information?) took the plastic panel off then the side panel and managed to get the door open.

WD40 all the parts and now all works again. Thanks.

Only problem is on the left hand side of the plastic panel at the top of the door there was a plastic bit that clips into a hole in the door. i am not sure what the clip in the door looked like as it pinged off and fell inside the door somewhere never to be seen again.

Any ideas where replacment clips can be found? this seems to be a clip with a hole in it for the plastic cover to push into rather than the metal spring clips that hold the side panel on.

Anyway at least the door now opens ready for a wet family camping weekend away.
My other cars a Bongo!

Can't help you with replacement clips - there are several rattling away in the unplumbed recesses of my Bongo too.
