Power Management System -Trauma!!

Hi

I have searched for the answer to my problem but cannot find it.

Please help

Fitted in the Bongo is a power management system,we were getting very excited at weekend about using the Bongo for it first camping trip,especially as it will be to the Charity Farm Meet.

Trauma,we cannot seem to use the leisure battery,everything works fine on electric hook up,but switch to van and nothing,we checked the battery and it is fully charged,checked fuses in the PMS.

Are there any suggestons where to check for a fuse or how to pursue.

Any help greatly recieved,just want everything perfect for our first meet

Silly question...

You're not expecting to run mains appliances plugged in without a hookup, are you?

Leisure battery will only give you 12v.

I had some problems with my power management system a few weeks ago - It took me a few days with a volt meter and various tweaks coupled with some advice from this forum before I sorted the problem (which was different to what you describe so no sense in re-living it here).

If you have a volt meter and don't mind unscrewing a panel or two I suggest hunting around to find out where the voltage stops. I'd start at the battery and work backwards - there is likely to be an in-line fuse connected somewhere close to the battery which could be the culprit if you are lucky...

Let us know how you get on, or post some more details / photos of the type of system and someone might be able to give more specific advice.

Oh - and don't forget to disconnect from the mains hook-up before you go hunting for volts!

At the fist sign of daylight tomorrow we will hunt for the inline supply fuse.

Might be worth a call to the convertors who did your van - they'll probably have come across the problem before.
