I have to turn on my ignition key to Aux to listen to the radio/cd BUT my side lights :idea: come on then also any suggestions to get the lights to stay off ?

They shouldn't come on in AUX.

The lights should work independantly of the ignition. Just the light stalk. Maybe your van has a Volvo badge on it :?

So do mine, it's like driving around in a (say it quitely) volvo.
Most don't do this..
I got round it by bringing a wire direct to the radio from the battery with a inline fuse. Did it to the cig lighter at the same time,
I wonder why they would do it like that !!!

I wonder if there is any connection with the dim-dip system that switches the headlights off when stationary.
Just a thought. There were threads on this ages ago.
