Can anyone recommend a cruise control system that can be fitted to our beloved Bongo?
I have searched the forum but cannot find the archived reports mentioned in other posts.

Have fitted a Waeco MS50 you can pick these up fairly cheap on E-Bay,i got mine direct from Germany for about £70 inc p+p. I got the fitting instructions off another member on here and fitted it all in about half a day and now wouldn't be without it.

I fancy one of these as well. Any feedback on how well it works?
If a copy of the fitting guide could be PM'd it would be appreciated.

Hi peeps,
I have had a howardmay cruise control fitted in my bongo for about 1 year now. i find the unit excellent to use and in operation. would have no hesitation in recommending it. as it is an electro-mechanical device the are no problems finding a vacuum source.

I just fitted a Waeco MS50 last night. Only took 3 hours (excluding finding some where to put the control switch) and it works a treat.
It's very easy to install in a Bongo. PM me for instructions if you haven't already got them from someone else.

Blimey...auto gearbox...cruise control...coolant warning systems = takes all the fun (stress?) out of driving 'Our Freda'.
What next....allowing the missus to drive so I don't have to?
Contact peter H for feedback

Thanks for the advice - it looks as thought the Waeco 50 is the best choice for my budget. Can anyone advise what kind of prices are realistic or is £99 +£12 pp + x for a different control device good value? Also, what controls have people fitted - is the steering wheel IR control OTT or would it allow me to slob in the driving seat without having to move at all? The steering column control is close to what I have used before. The dashboard control looks reasonable but it is a long way to lean forward to operate when I most comfortable when I am sitting as far back as possible

.
I have the photosheet instructions kindly sent by email and the instructions from Waeco but I may need to seek some further fitting advice.

I have done a factsheet for the MS50 - drop me a pm if you would like a copy (5mB Word doc). I'm very pleased with it & would recommend it to others.

Thanks for the fact sheet Simon - very useful. I will definitely be purchasing some of these from Germany. 99 euros plus 18.5 for posting to UK - about £72 ish. It seems like good value.

I've seen Simon's unit, very impressive.
I was looking through the German Ebay and the one that flashes up as £99 is actually 99 euros. The total is 117.5 euros (£75 ish?). This seems to be the complete kit because I don't think the Bongo requires any extras.
The Howard May kit looks excellent but I wont be 4 or 5 times as much on it.
