loss of power

Post by emcdaid » Mon Jun 11, 2007 10:49 pm

Hi, just driven the bongo and suffered a serious loss of power after a short stop. Bongo has been driving like a dream recently and never exprienced this before. Stopped to chck for overheating but everything looked fine no horried noises either just a lack of revs - difficult to get above 60mph and slopes a nightmare. Got me home ok (if slowly) and still sounds OK - any ideas? Could it be the turbo or gearbox?

Cheers

Thanks -just done some searching and see that this a likely cause along with turbo problem. Thanks

when the turbo is removed you struggle to get above 6mp nevermind 60. just a thought this happened to ours and all it was was a spare bottle of water under the bonnet had got sucked onto the air intake.
