Clonking ?

Post by skipp66 » Tue May 29, 2007 8:30 pm

Hi all, I have had my bongo for 15 month and its all been good :D .Just had the dreaded MOT and all she needed was a Roll bar bracket.
But I have an anoying clonking noise ! sounds like its coming from just behind the front seats, I live on a very badly rutted farm track and she makes lots of clonking and groaning sounds whilst driving slowly over the bad service.
However when i go over speed bumps it is not present ? I have had her looked at and she passed the MOT 10 days ago so im not sure what to look for ??
Any advice would be apprecieated.
ps. big thanks to Lac from A&L motors near braintree for the usual excellent sevrice :D

Have a look if your jack and tools are sliding about, you know the little door in the step behind the sliding door, that's where they are stored. :)

sounds like drop links or roll bar bushes, mine clonked over rough ground, so I changed mine, clonking dissapeared and the whole ride improved,Its like having a new bongo
