Driver window switch part number

Post by Foz.Foz » Sat May 05, 2007 8:42 am

Hi... Done a search and couldn't find an answer.
Does anyone know the part number for the drivers window switch???
A friend is marrying a Japanese lass and she has a few friends flying over for the wedding. Thought I may as well see if the switches are a bit cheaper, and "import" one or two, if they are

Get them to price the Mazda 323 switches - they're the same, and a lot cheaper.

...in the uk. Hopefully in Japan the similar switches should cost the same?

I think the word is out in the breakers yards, not a Mazda 323 window switch to be found! Got a BMW clock for a tenner though.

I know they are £115 or so from Bongobits, but I would rather pay that than £50 for a second hand one that if its not nicked, will almost certainly be as close to failure as the one you are trying to replace. They are not a particularly strong item and after 8-10 years are very prone to failure as they are mostly plastic and get a bit brittle with age.
