Front Ball Joints

Post by Veg_Ian » Tue May 15, 2007 10:45 am

My Bongo's just failed it's MOT on the front bottom ball joints. Looking at the Partfinder service it looks like the balljoint is integral with the lower arm part # 34-310 and 34-310(z) (right and left). Is this correct? It's sounding hellishly expensive if so.

Just checked with Bongo Bits and they are integral - ouch!

£315.19 - promised delivery for tomorrow. Meanwhile Bongo is on stands with the old ones off ready, they really were in a bad way. Fact sheet in production. Getting a bit nervous as I've a ferry booked for Ireland middle of next week and still have to refit, re-MOT and check the rear brakes .......

Well after 9 frantic days, several phone calls to Bongobits and the postponement of my ferry booking by a day, I finally have her back on the road with new MOT certificate. New parts had to be shipped in from Japan. Anyway all loaded up and I'm hoping for a troublefree week on the emerald isle. Due to set off in a few hours time, see you all in about 10 days time. Enjoy the bank holiday.

Wouldn't entertain second hand suspension parts. Interesting your new price though. Looks like my extra was for markup and postage. Must remember tring the dealer for future big purchases - thanks. Right must go.
