Ive recently found a switch located down and left of the steering wheel, roughly where your knee would be.
Its small and circular and when pressed makes the sort of chime you hear when you can take your seat belt off in an airplane.
What's it for????

Bongobiker,
Sound like the reverse sensor switch. Mine has a manual switch to.
Do you have sensors on your bumper? The box that makes the chime
Was buried under the carpet in the passenger foot well and could
hardly be heard, so I moved it up behind the glove box.
Keep the Faith

Is it for your rear foglamp?

There was a long discussion on a switch like this on here a while back. I can no longer find it though. IIRC the conclusion was that the switch was for some kind of strange headlight dipping system that some people in Japan use.

I have a round switch in the same place mine is for the parking sensors (or was until i ripped them out). There was also another in one of the switch holes to the left of the steering wheel with a picture of a car on and a led at each corner.
smoke me a kipper i'll be back for breakfast
