it must be simple but....

Post by skater » Wed May 16, 2007 12:23 pm

hi , just got our bongo the other week and want to swap the space saver tyre for a normal one.
have joined the club and browsed the forum.
found plenty of discussion about how useless the space saver is
but how do you remove it?
can't be that difficult can it?
cheers from devon

You need to use the tools located in the compartment under the side door, Long tube section locates in hole at rear of vehicle when back door is open, use ratchet to unwind the wheel.

If you need to buy one of the removal tools, we stock them in the club shop.

Wheel removal tools

Where you found the jack, in the cubby hole of the sliding door step, feel along the top and you will find a metal rod avout 30cm, 2 ft, long :D

Poke this in the slotted hole below the rear door, turn it around a bit and the spare wheel will be lowered to the ground.

Hope this helps.
