Alarm fitted to Bongo - works a treat!

Post by neilfraser » Fri May 11, 2007 10:37 pm

Having had the Bongo for a few weeks we were getting very nervous about leaving it places without an alarm. The dealer we bought it from wanted about £400 + VAT to fit one bit just had one done by a security form who advertise on ebay. Cost £245 including fitting and the motor to get the remote central locking working. It's a Toad AI607 alarm and immobiliser which is Thatcham category 1 rated and seems secure.

The company in question are Specialised Secuity and they trade off eBay:

They are mobile so fit at your home or place of work. Took about 4 hours but he wasn't rushing.

Apologies of the post sounds like an advert - I have no affiliation with them apart from being a satisfied customer!!

as much as I like my Bingo I'm not sure they are a high priority target for the professional car thief!

Hey I reckon alarms are a must have after parking outside a police station in Rome and coming back to find my old VW camper cleaned out - clothes, shoes even deoderant!! Had to laugh... Didnt have far to go to report it!
