New Brake Pads

HI,
I am going to replace the front and rear brake pads and there are three or four different makes and different prices around, can any one recommend a make please that will do the job - I am thinking of Mintex as I remember them from years ago as a good brake shoe supplier.

Just had a pair fitted by my local garage

Part number ADM54270...don't know the make but listed on my bill as Disc Pads - Mazda bongo

Cost £45-10p the set + VAT

They seem to do the biz.

Mintex or Ferodo - they cost more, but last longer and stop better.

not worth cutting corners on brakes go fo the best you can afford.

A full set of Mintex Brake Pads just arrived, front and back, £48.00 including £8.00 p & p off Ebay. Seem to be genuine articles so just got to find time to fit them.

The instruction leaflet from the members area looks useful as is the Brake Schematic at http://www.lushprojects.com/bongoparts/pages/

Methinks 'tis a wise choice Vanmanerik - never skimp on brakes cos' seat cleaning can be expensive

Well Franco that DID make me laugh out loud - thanks.
Back to me garage now, I am trying to put all me nuts, screws, washers, tools, etc. away neatly so I can find them next time I need one. Trouble is I now have three of everything because I can't find them, one to use, one lose, one for spare................... its still a mess ...

i have fitted a few sets of the cheap pads off ebay to toyota estimas,some of the pads start to disintegrate and are dangerous,others cover your wheels in black brake dust very quickly,always choose good quality pads

When you fit them don't forget the shims

cos they sqeeeeeeel so it means stripping the brakes down again to fit them, but you can get front off ebay for about £19 and rear for £15 just search mazda bongo brakes pads and they will come up
