Temp gauge
I think Haydn has given you directions on how to access the fuel gauge not the water temperature gauge.
The water temperature sender unit is midway along in the side of the cylinder head on the offside (under the drivers seat) see

Lower right picture, part number 18-840C
Hope this helps.

Hope this helps.[/quote thanks for the help and information havnt taken any action yet but the gauge worked yesterday petebee
when i first got my bongo the gauge wasn't working, the guy had had a new sender fitted and still didn't work, the garage said it was the gauge itself, turned out to be an airlock,as i found out by accident whilst experimenting with the bleeding system,it hadn't worked for a week or so since the guy had a service done and coolant flush, obviously by a garage not clued up on these vehicles,(btw the garage was in stoke).
