Not on mine, Vanmanerik. There was some lamination on the front which led me to believe there was a film or perhaps just the adhesive to remove. Wrong! Replacement headlights coming this week.

Thanks for that thought Dandywarhol, will have a look behind the wheel tomorrow.

In today's Guardian:

De-scratching a coffee table

I have a much loved but much scratched black acrylic Magistretti coffee table. How can I remove/ disguise the scratches?

Our cleaning guru, Stephanie Zia, says, 'Apply Brasso (around £2.40 from supermarkets and hardware stores) with a soft, clean cloth in small circular strokes, much as you would if you were polishing a car. When it has dried into a powder, rub off with another clean cloth, pressing down firmly. You may have to do this several times.

'Incidentally, Brasso is currently enjoying a renaissance due to its remarkable plastic polishing properties - it will remove scratches from iPods, MP3 players, CDs, DVDs and other optical discs. Apply to the reflective surface of the disc, along the radius (in straight lines between the edge and centre).

'Alternatively, for your table use Xerapol Acrylic Scratch Remover, which you can get at car accessory shops, or online from Motormania (motormania.co.uk; £7 inc p&p). Clean the surface and apply a little paste. Using a soft, clean cotton cloth or cotton wool pad, and polish the scratched areas using heavy pressure for two to three minutes. For deep scratches, repeat several times. Remove residue and polish up

Never thought to mention it before,
but I have been using Brasso for years to polish defective CDs and to get scratches out of Perspex.

Wears the wrist out though....

its actually rather difficult to get now as well, best place to look is the old fashioned type hardware store which unfortunatly are almost as difficult to find as brasso.... :x

And so are you!

Either version - one still ends up with black hands!
