GLOW PLUG SIZE - HELP!!!

Post by Glynanderson » Sat Apr 21, 2007 1:25 pm

Hi,
Just taken my plugs out to measure them and they are 92mm tip to tip.
This doesn't seem to fit in with any of the sizes mentioned in the fact sheet.
Any ideas????
It's a '97, Chassis No: SGL3-105974
Also looked o the Denso site, but they don't list the number on the plug which is:
ND 067100 - 1850
It also says 11V 9R on the plug body.
Cheers!

There is a fact sheet in the Members Only area of the Club.

Thanks Pippin, very helpful, actually I did mention that the fact sheet doesn't seem to mention this size.
Maybe I should have aked for helpful replies only.
cheers

glyn

I had a similar problem when i changed mine 6 months back, i cant remember the size of the plugs but they differed from all types mentioned on fact sheet and a forrum search. I looked through ebay and other internet sites that supply bongo parts but had no joy matching them up.

In the end i went to a local motor factors and asked them what they could do for me the guy in the shop went to his book- searched then came back with a set of 4 and swore that they would fit although they were slightly shorter than the set i was replacing.

I was concerned at the time that with the glowplugs been shorter, the glowplug rail would foul the engine and short out but it never did.

This might be worth a shot and from the m.f the set of 4 I purchased was only £27, remarkably cheaper than online sellers at the time.

good luck with it all!

I got mine off ebay in complete ignorance of their size. The spec was "Bongo glowplugs, These ones fit" or something like that. They fitted and although they ate not NGK ones and might burn out quicker than the best, I have no complaints.
Ian might be able to help via his shop, he must have sold hundreds of the things.
Hope this helps,
Tim

Dude

give mazdabongo.com a ring and speak to the guy there he is very helpful, replaced mine other month and they were different size to the old ones, phoned him up he advised that there are three different sizes and alot of the bongos had the odd ball size fitted when there was a short fall of glow plugs in japan, but the ones he supplied fitted not probs and thats what he advised, think i paid £30ish but not too sure and they are good plugs

hope this helps
