Ours did this twice a while after we got it. Taking the door panel of and pulling the cable a bit reset it.
The root cause seemed to be my partners daughter who (genuinely) though she needed to slam the door like a 1980 transit! A little chat and it's not happened since!

I had to have a firm talk with two of the ladies in our house after they expressed their dislike of my new acquisition and slammed the side door. It stopped before damage was done. Of course, a few months on and (though they may not admit it) its obvious they are falling in love with the old girl. Well, who can resist the charms of a Bongo eh?
You know, my kids (esp. the girls esp. the 17yr old) were dead concerned their mates would think it (the Bongo) and they were weird (not to mention their Dad - which might be true of course). But all their mates think its the coolest car they've ever seen (which is correct of course). So I have max 'cool dad' brownie points cos I stood my ground and got one against massive opposition. And now they can see why. I'm feeling pretty good about that right now
