After a re-gas the Bongo air con works well but then by 3-4 weeks is 50-70pct less well at cooling so a leak suspected.
Going to a local place to get leak testing done, nitrogen and UV/Dye. (I appreciate a basic re-gas tests for obvious big leaks, I had it done a month ago
and already the air con performance has dropped off)
Just trying to pre-empt some old hoses being brittle / having a slow leak... what are the air con parts availability such as rubber hoses etc. ?
Or are they easily made from standard bore rubber hose ?
It might just need some pipes reseating with luck but you know.... 30 year old rubber !
I guess aircon gas is in a combination of aluminium and rubber pipping ?
Just trying to know a little more than I do about the pipes
Did a bit of a search and found these digrams from other posts:

Useful to to print out.
Are Japanese rubber pipe bores standard-ish /similar to UK ones ? (Can one cut standard rubber pipe and reclip if need be) I am guessing the original parts are non existent now.
Jumping the gun on faults of course but just curious.
Cheers

Air con pipes and bits and pieces

Re: Air con pipes and bits and pieces
The pipe diameters have changed over the years from around 2000 and after they changed to a smaller diameter pipe.
"There are three possibilities depending on age and what is still working!
All use R134a refrigerant and PAG46 oil.
A full system prior to around 2000;
950 Grams & 14ml of oil.
If the rear air con system has been sealed then 700 Grams of refrigerant & 14ml of oil.
After 2000 (smaller diameter pipes were introduced) then 750grammes & 50ml of oil."
