Original Audio and reverse camera connections

Post by Bealie » Thu Dec 11, 2025 1:44 pm

Hi folks
Just hoping someone can help me with identifying plugs and cables for my hopeful stereo upgrade...
In the pics below, the green plug was connected to the TV input of the original Japanese unit - is that the reversing camera (factory fit, I think)and if so which cable is which in that plug? Does anyone know what type of plug that is?
The other plugs went into BC (Board Control?)and SRES (signal verification for mobile network?) - is that correct?
I have bought an adaptor harness (to ISO) for the main plug but am struggling on the others and what I need to do with them. It would be great to keep the reversing camera as it worked nicely in the original unit (unfortunately nothing else did).
Any info much appreciated 😀

Unless your new device can handle the Japanese version of NTSC (not American version) then it may have problems with the correct Black level as they differ also a different colour temperature so colours may be a little skewed! See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NTSC-J for details.
Can't help with the connectors but they are normally standard within the various makes.

Thanks Geoff. I thought I'd be brave and plug it in today with the ISO harness adaptor (less the reversing camera) and it seems to work fine, even the radio picked up a few FM stations 😉 so looks like I'm lucky and just need to suss out how to connect the original camera 🤞
