Greetings. First time I've posted. I'm putting new seals on 1999 diesel injector pump. I've followed the Fact sheet for doing new seals with injector on engine. (not easy, but I got it apart). As mentioned in Fact sheet--be careful parts don't fall on floor. I was actually able to grab all the pieces once I got front dome and backing plate off. (dropped into my hand). But... I'm not positive on how they go back in. I'm looking at injector pump schematic on-line and it doesn't look quite like what I've got. With a clear diagram, I'm good to go, but as it is now, I don't want to risk something in wrong order. Any clarity on putting these pieces (shims, metal cap, etc) back in would be greatly appreciated. Man, this is stressful work...

Re: Diesel injector pump seals
Hi! Reinstalling seals and components can definitely be tricky. I recommend checking out any workshop manuals specific to your 1999 model; they often have valuable diagrams that can guide you through the process. If you're stuck, don't hesitate to reach out to local garages for help—they might have the right tools and experience. Additionally, forums like this one are great for finding tips from others who've tackled similar projects. Good luck, and feel free to ask if you have more questions!
