Fault code 38

Help please I've got fault code 38 on my Ecu I know it's something to do with cold start warm up its bolted to exhaust and is vacuum operated its been removed from exhaust by previous owner so my magic question is how do I go about clearing this dam fault code what wires do I cut or splice together I look forward to all your answers cheers kev beard

It was operated by the vacuum system, there should be a vacuum pipe in the vicinity that is meant to be blocked/sealed, might be worth checking that it is still sealed and not allowing the vacuum to be replaced by air ?
