Interior sliding door not working.

Post by Ironbrewer » Mon Aug 26, 2024 4:53 pm

So stayed the night in our 1995 Ford Freda for first time this weekend. Went to open the side door in the middle of the night and the handle would only turn about 60 degrees, and then had a hard stop. I did not try to force it. Is there some interlock somewhere or a way to get this to work. Outside handle works fine, inside tailgate works fine. I can't figure it out.

Thanks I'm advance for any info. I tried to search but couldn't find anything.

You may have caught the child lock on the leading edge of the door ? Black switch which gets hooked on pockets as you step in and operated!

Thank you. Found the switch. I should have seen it.
