dead Bongo

Post by Sharbee22 » Tue Jul 16, 2024 9:13 am

I took delivery of my Bongo 2.5 diesel Saturday, put a new battery on it moved it to rear of house, took it out Sunday to fuel up (4 miles aprox) went to start it yesterday and the ignition is dead...no lights no clicking on key, nothing. The battery is fine, headlights turn on and heating panel is showing person on seat icon lit up ... Has anyone any idea please? Thanking you in advance

Welcome aboard!
Sorry to hear of the problems :-(
Do you have any form of immobiliser fitted ? A remote fob for entry or a wand type device you need to touch on a terminal ?
Have you spoken with the seller at all on any other possibilities ?
Another common problem is a worn contactor for the starter motor where by the power isn't actually connected to the motor itself because the very heavy duty contacts have worn out, eBay have spares if its that https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/293191698249

Thank you for your reply.
Nothing extra on it at all, not even an alarm, only coolant sensor...
I shall go and have a look later, thank you for your help!
