Looking at a 2005 Bongo, white dials (not that that makes a difference!) But mot history is showing km when it was first imported, and from then on it is showing miles. Which do i believe......was the first one wrong and should have been in miles? Or are the rest of them wrong and should be in km.....
first one showed 109k km, then the next one 113k miles....
thanks

Probably kms.
Garages tend to just input the numbers and the default is miles.
Personally I think condition and service history are more important than distance covered.

Re: Miles or Km
When they are imported then they will be registering in Kms and KpH
After any work on import most are either chipped to read in Miles & MpH or a new faceplate added to show MpH but in that case the Odometer is not changed and will still read in Kms.
There is really only one way to make certain and that is to drive a known distance or watch the distance markers on the Motorway and check against the Odometer.
Which ever it has little bearing on the price as they are all older models and its the state of chassis which is probably much more important that distance travelled!

Re: Miles or Km
Miles or kms that's not a lot for a good Bongo.
Re: Miles or Km
Thank you
Some work has been done recently on it due to failing MOT's on rear anti roll bar bushes / linkages both sides, along with wiper blades and headlamp aim not right. Remaining advisories which were not done (I believe it was MOT'd at a Mazda main dealer garage and not a Bongo specilaist), are rear shock absorber light misting of oil (assume easy enough to replace as a DIY), some play in front propshaft universal joint, and some under body corrosion. I however know that the Bongo has been undersealed but is due to be done again, and that it is a solid example underneath but clearly a Mazda main dealer has looked at it and probably compared it to the new cars that they would typically see in their garage.
