Roof Tent Repair

Post by mwalshuk » Mon Oct 03, 2022 1:45 pm

Hi, I have a 2001 V6 AFT and the silver canvas has started to break down in the corners and along the edge of the zip. I'd like to have it repaired instead of replacing with a new canvas if at all possible but was also hoping to avoid taking the whole thing out.

Has anyone got any contacts, links, or instructions on the best fabric to use and hot to go about this? I'm based in the Manchester area and would be happy to find a professional to get the work done if possible.

Thanks,
Michael

Not heard of any repairers who would do it in situ. I think I know what your referring to I noticed that mine has slightly elongated stitching holes appearing at one point close to the Zip which I'm going to keep a close eye on - mine is a similar age as well, with the triple layer plastic/manmade tent material rather than the older cotton based material with the outer plastic layer.
