4x4 to 2wd conversion

Post by Nceva » Sat Apr 09, 2022 7:20 pm

Hi, new to the bongo scene, and apologies of this a reoccurring topic. ( I've tried searching but not found the info)

My Bongo is a 4wd, but having a rummage around underneath to tally up the rust patches I noticed a large space where a prop shaft should be. I'd really like it to be 4wd again, so just wondering what the issues the removal was likely to be solving , and what work I'd need to do correct it properly?

Any advice, or pointers to the info would be great.

Thanks
Nat

The prop shaft , probably because of a fault with the diff /gearbox has been changed without the transfer box. or for economy reasons , you really need to connect the prop and test the vehicle making sure the diff and transfer box have the correct amount of oil. You could also contact the previous owner for information.
