AFT makes the right noises but won’t lift
Haven’t lifted the roof for about 18months and now it won’t. The bleeper bleeps and I can hear the motors whirring at the back, but nothing happens. I’ve eased the rubber trim in case it had stuck in place but still nothing. Any thoughts?
Re: AFT makes the right noises but won’t lift
Are both motors, there is one each side, rotating ? If so then both motors must have come away from there fixings and the Teleflex cables are free, otherwise the motors would stall.
Each Teleflex cable is driven first by the motor in its own side, then passes around the back to the other motor to make sure that both motors and sides of the roof stay in sync, otherwise the roof twists and snaps.
If that is the case then it might be possible to get a slim pole in on each side and push the sliders backwards to lift the roof.
