Undertray bolt size

Post by sotal » Sun Nov 14, 2021 5:10 pm

Does anyone happen to know the size of the bolts for the undertray?

I've got the bongo booked in for the MOT.

Everything else is sorted but I came to put the undertray back on today and can't remember where I put the bolts 🤣

Are they a standard metric size?

Interesting thread here:

I don't think you'll need the tray for MoT so maybe get it done and keep looking? [-o<

Hope Bongy sails through. 8)

Edit: Flea Bay have suitable looking bolts complete with the big washers, but they don't seem cheap to me. Try something like 'Bongo engine under cover screws'.
Take a torch, toilet roll, and tea bags.

Thanks,

I've got a couple of weeks to find them as I needed a Saturday slot for the MOT.

Slightly annoyed that I've misplaced them, I've got one of those big Halfords advanced tool sets, and I'm sure I put them loose in there but then between taking it off and refitting it, which was a few months, I have tidied the tools and must have moved them.

Everything else was carefully kept in place ready for refitting.

Thanks for the thread it had a bit of conflicting information but sounds like they are either M6 standard or M6 fine. I had a feeling they were bigger than that so at that helps in looking for them!

Thanks again

Different lengths too, just to make it interesting.

As Bob says, you dont need an undertray fitted for the MOTT, in actual fact you could get an advisory for it being fitted.

Yes, it doesn't need to be there but if prefer it to be back on so needs sorting anyway
