Hi Bongo-Fury fellows !
I'm looking for a way to attach a mag-mount antenna to my bongo, ideally on the roof, which presents the problem that it is plastic.
Are there any other fellow ham/cb operators who are /M and how they have attached a mag-mount to their bongo ?
I think the bonnet is too low/shallow an angle to have an antenna protruding out (with the potential to between 10-100W) so the safest area is the roof. I'm think some sort of 'bolt on' plate and an earth strap into the bongo.
Dont really want to use a gutter rail clamp as the antenna is designed for a mag-mount install.
Thanks in advance / 73's

Maybe a steel plate fixed to the AFT with a bolt into one of the existing threaded holes?
A countersunk machine screw would give a flat surface.
