Front Grill/Trim

Does anyone know if you can re-chrome a plastic trim? The trim and the Mazda badge around the grill on my 2004 2.0 L is just about done. If so where? Also before I go yanking the parts off do the chrome bit come off the black grill section - old plastic can be fragile and rather brittle - a bit like me I guess
