Recommendation please JAL Imports

Post by Hulse » Thu Jul 09, 2020 7:29 pm

Hi

Newbee here :-)

I visited JAL Imports today and found a vehicle that I really liked and Phil was really helpful. I have never bought a Bongo before, only normal cars from a showroom. It needs to be converted and if I want to go ahead I have to pay a deposit of 40% of the cost by bank transfer - details would be sent by text???

Before I go any further do I had a search on here for any posts about JAL but I couldn't find anything recent. I thought I read somewhere that when asking for info on a dealer I should request replies by PM. I hope that is correct?

Any help would be really appreciated and, hopefully reassuring!

Hi, and welcome aboard.

Ours came from Phil 12 years ago, still really pleased with it.

We bought un-converted with the intention of meeting owners, looking at different set ups, and asking lots of questions. What suits, works well for you? what doesn't?

If you are already sure which conversion will suit you best that's really good, you just don't want to use it for a couple of nights then find what you really need.

If you're thinking of having an after-market roof fitted make sure you can operate the one you choose - some need to be raised/lowered from outside, and involve fitting pins externally, 6'10" above ground.

Replys by PM are fine, just there were some comments, long ago, which could have resulted in legal problems so things were reigned in a bit,
Take a torch, toilet roll, and tea bags.
