Hi all
Forgive me if I'm asking a question that's been done to death. I'm a Bongo noob, picking up our first tintop V6 on Saturday. The wheels are a bit shabby, and I've found a 16" steel wheel on Oponeo that I think will fit with no issues, but I could really do with some confirmation from those with more experience than me.
Spec of the wheels is as follows;
Diameter: 16″ Size: 6,50Jx16
PCD: 5x114.3 Offset: 38.00 Central Bore: 67.1
Am I right in thinking that if I fit 225 55 R16 tyres, I'll maintain the same rolling circumference as the original 15" wheels?
All advice about this wheel/tyre combo will be much appreciated.
Cheers
Adam

Edit: according to willtheyfit.com, I'd be better off with 225 60 R16s to maintain speedo accuracy.

Speedo accuracy... with a Bongo?? the only thing I can add to the pot would be to say that if you have an AWD then all 4 tyres need to have the same rolling circumference to prevent damage to the diffs

Ah, I see, the Speedo is one of the Bongo's foibles is it?
Ours is a 2WD so I refuse to faff about with different tyre sizes! I doubt I'll even notice any difference to the steering if I put very slightly wider tyres on the front. Just want to sure that a smaller offset than original will work.

Sorry, don't know if the offset will make a difference, and many peeps run the same size tyres all round, no probs with that.
Bear in mind the minimum load ratings, 92 front, 96 rear, and make sure the wheels are up to the job. Some wheels will fit but are only intended for use on cars, not 2 1/2 tons of Bongo.
