Bongo failed the MOT, for various reasons, had to be welded etc, and more brake pipes done. One brake pipe am told ran over the fuel tank, therefore the mechanic had to slightly drop the tank. NOW discover the fuel guage on dash, is reading inccorectly, (not full when it is, never had this prob. before) and we can`t right this error, by shaking Bongo etc. Been back to garage and they say fuel sensor is on top of tank, there are baffles in tank and it should not have been affected by the drop and there was before conversion, mechanic saw underneath there must have been some trap door inside cab to veiw the fuel tank from the bongo interier (we don`t know this), and its been suggested its been covered with the camper conversion units, and only way to view or deal with fuel sensor is to drop the tank again or and put in a new sensor.
1. Anyone any ideas what could of happened to fuel sensor.
2. Any idea what is going on here, or if there was a trap door in these Bongos to view the top of fuel tank.
Please can anyone help????
