cut the hatch in half today to make a bi fold hatch £11 pound in parts and works excellent

Hi Mike B,

What parts do i need for this please? I was thinking of cutting the cat flap in half and then using ally channel to cover over the cut ends and also reinforce. Does that sound about right? Do you know what size channel I need please?

I was looking to take out the inner roof this evening but couldn’t see how to take the pins out of the hinges. I found this image online:

This suggests I manipulate with a thin screwdriver. Does that sound about right?

There normally "star" washers you just clout the end of the pin to drive the pin out of the washer itself, you can try wobblying the the washer off with a screwdriver but you may bend it too much so its not usable again.
To reuse the washer later put it inside a larger enough socket set and clout the socket set on the end, whilst having a block at the other end of the pin itself to prevent it jumping back out.

I tried hitting it from the washer end but it didn’t move. Maybe I just need to hit harder.

They do need quite a bang, same as the pins in the seat rails at the rear.
