235/40/18 tyre pressure anyone?

Post by Scott & Gillian » Fri Feb 16, 2007 8:01 pm

Any idea what the corect tyre pressure would be for 235/40/18 tyres on a 2wd Bongo??

No idea, but I've got a similar question. I have just fitted 205 Goodyear GT2's on my 2WD. Can anyone advise on the correct pressure for these ?
Incidentally £216 all in.

I think, if you stray from the standard sizes, it's a matter of experimenting until you find the pressure that gives the best handling/braking/wear.
I've got 205/65x15 on mine and have found 36psi to be OK so far. The steering felt a little "sloppy" with 32psi in the front.

Not really, but I'd try 35psi. If they look OK then take it for a spin to try it. Hopefully, somebody with those tyres will reply with what they use.
