TM2 and radio on leisure battery

Fitted a leisure battery today, wired to fuses and the TM2 is on all the time. Power has been taken from the radio feed so I'm wondering what the easiest to find alternative switched live is under there? Radio can be switched off, TM2 can't. I could put a switch in it and kill them both together but would rather they went off on the key.

Probably best to put a piggy-back fuse holder in the position below and run the feed to the piggyback fuse;

On another topic: my leisure loom (popular one with VSR for Bongo on e-bay) has no fuse on the leisure battery side but has one on the crank side. I read posts on here recommending both. Your thoughts as to the implications of running only one?

Those kits from that particular ebay seller are in my opinion down right dangerous they have been advised by several electrical engineers (including myself) of the faults but they have chosen to ignore and not respond. Others on FaceBook have shown pictures of the very poor quality joints, which in one case caused the fuse holder to melt. Yes, it does look a bit nasty in places. I'm no fan of those screw down 'crush' wire fittings for the battery terminal so I'll have that off and put a bolt down eyelet type and fuse in there. VSR is unbranded and probably not the quality of the named ones. Does someone do a better loom?

I'd like to put a defeat switch in to the fuel pump circuit but my ECU wiring is dfferent (2001 2.0) to the factsheet so I can't do that mod. Would cutting a switch into this feed cut the fuel pump relay feed alone? There are multiple fuse box diagrams splashed around the 'net and some are clearly different when I test.

Once apon a time I was an auto electician fitting car telephones (when they were £3k a piece) but then an expensive woman turned up and I got a job in IT. Now I know nothing so I appreciate the help

Regarding the battery terminal fuses I do like the Cube fuses which sit on the terminal and can't be so easily bypassed, that way you know the cables (provided there suitably rated) are going to be protected.

As to fuel pump, all your looking to do is interrupt the supply, its just that its very easy to get at by the ECU, but I don't have the diagrams for later versions so can't be certain, however it ought to be easy enough to check, stopping the fuel pump is an instant engine stop!

I went for it in the end and put the switch in the wire feeding fuse 9. This is not just the fuel pump as there are no sparks when cranking with this fuse out. The important thing for me is that it is ignition switched live so there must be constant live to the ECU through somewhere else (didn't want it resetting every time).
