Can't raise roof!

Post by giles2050 » Mon May 28, 2018 3:00 pm

Hi all,

Roof got stuck in up position so lowered it using allen key and rope method described in manual. Now the switch is functioning again I need to get roof up manually to reattach motors etc. It has not quite fully locked shut as still beeps but it seems stuck on the passenger side, not just the seal, :? :? when we try and lift it manually ( all three of us). Anybody got any ideas before I trouble the local specialist! Thanks!

DON'T try to push it up when its low down! The moving arms will be in the "lock" cage all you will do is break the something!
There is a thread but can't locate it at the moment, but gently lift the roof externally and wedge it up then using a stick, garden cane or long rod push the sliders backwards towards the rear until they are out of the "lock" cages then you can continue to push them back and push from the inside to help as well until fully raised.
