alacrity is your guy for gearbox stuff, he has been working with auto boxes for plus 30 years and with any luck he can point you in the right direction  sorry i cant give advice but i hopr you can get it sorted, one thing he always advises tho, is whatever you do, dont rev the hell out of it as it will probably cause more damage. good luck [-o<

As it cured my issue I would ask have you adjusted the TPS? Does it hookup and stay hooked up at around 35mph? Look at the sticky above about shift issues and the other posts such as Dandy Warhol circa 2008 etc. Mine is a 2002 2.0 auto, I was conviced it was slipping/ and was over revving without going into gear, mpg was awful; the TPS was not adjusted correctly a few trial runs and it was adjusted easily. Has been brilliant ever since and returning over 30mpg.

It appears the autobox on the Bongo is very robust and most issues I have read about on here appear to be electronic with some people/owner's needlessly it would appear spending or in some cases being fleeced and having new parts or transmissions fitted for £000's,
