Bongo Friendly Garage Cumbria / Lake District

Hi all,

I have a leak on my coolant system and have narrowed it down to the rear heater matrix and will need to get it replaced.

Does anyone know a Bongo friendly garage around Cumbria / Lake District? Preferably west toward Barrow.

this really needs to be done by someone who knows bongos well, the rear matrix is a real pig of a job to do in garage time/hours, has it got a side camper conversion in the rear as all the offside interior panels have to come out to get at the rear heater unit, is the floor where the rear heater is mounted in good condition as in corrosion. then the cooling system will need to be bled up as you need to break into it to replace the matrix. depending on the age of the coolant this will need replacing and while the system is in bits other prudent bit of maintenance would be best done like thermostat and maybe water pump.

sorry to scare you but its best done right. or you could just bypass it and leave it. at least you now know whats involved and can talk to a garage etc.

if your stuck its something i can do, im an hour and a half away. im not a garage but could do the job if you get the part/s.

I don't think its got any coolant left in it so that shouldn't be a problem! The floor has some areas of corrosion too so there's a fair bit of work to be done round there.

I think i'll give Stephen a ring and see if i can limp my way to him.
